LivFit
A 16-page A4 brochure designed at Minuteman Press for LivFit, an initiative seeking corporate sponsorship to fund sport, physical activity and healthy eating in schools in disadvantaged areas. The brochure had to explain the problem, childhood obesity and low activity levels, then set out how the scheme would work and persuade sponsors to take part.
The client supplied only the logo and the text in a Word document. Working closely with him, I developed the whole visual approach around the logo's orange: layout, typography, photography, the teal accents, highlight panels and charts, turning a dense argument into something clear and easy to follow.
A hidden detail: the logo's circular brush stroke recurs on every spread as a large, semi-transparent background element, rotating a few degrees in the same direction at each page turn. Few readers consciously notice it, yet it gives the brochure an underlying dynamism.
